Many points of light, one bright future

Smithsonian American Art Museum

Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) provides interactive video-conference programs as requested by LEO libraries from the metropolitan museum in Washington, DC.

Cascadia Metorite Laboratory

Scientists at the Meteorite Lab at Portland State University's Geology Department are engaged in a public outreach program through LEO where programs - and $15,000 worth of meteorites - are brought to rural schools and libraries across Eastern Oregon with 55 communities reached so far.

Oregon Museum of Science & Industry

STogether, LEO and OMSI formed the STARS program - Science, Technology and Rural Students. OMSI has brought a wealth of programs to Eastern Oregon communities through the partnership and plays a major role in assisting LEO with outreach services to underserved communities.

OMSI's "Magic Planet" - a spinning, lighted globe showing topographical features, views from space, tsunamis, windstorms, ocean currents and much more has been on display at LEO libraries.
